Summer Seminar provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together over 400 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields that comprise International Education in BC.

British Columbia's International Education landscape remains an economic and talent engine for the Province: In 2014, close to 100,000 study permit students were enrolled in BC. Growth trends and competition dynamics have begun to shift, however, and different paths are emerging between BC sectors and regions, as well as student sending countries. Following the 2014 report, the 2016 BC International Education Intelligence Report offers a sweep through enrollment data, competitor information, and factors driving student decision-making from social media to fees and cost of living.
